Later on he began studying other authors and eventually began submitting different types of his own publications. Most of them had no success at all.. But after spending one winter in the Yukon, he started coming up with many brilliant ideas for stories. He then began publishing in the 'Overland Monthly', in 1899. He published ' The Call of the Wild', in 1903 which brought him lasting fame. He also published 'The People of the Abyss', in 1903. In 1913 he published John Barleycorn. Yet, these were just a few of the many publications.
